hey
i was watching a film on sky movies and it came up saying scrambled or bad channel. its the same with al the channels that arent free. have ntl / virgin scrambled the signal again? or is it worth trying to redo the box with the firmware and scan again?

There appears to be a daily roll in progress at the moment, but if you have the latest up to date Firmware on your box it should update for you, Starview 3 The Box Super should have GTRom_Super_8.04e and you will find it in Eamo's Fta Library link at the bottom of post.

Hi Malci Hows it going?Im going to send my ex1000sl to my friend in Uk and just woundering do you have a link for the correct software to put on it for the UK?I had a look in Eamo's library but wasnt sure which one to use and is it easy just like loading the irish one on?I maze well let my mate get use out of it instead of being in my cupboard doing nothing.Hope you can help thanks

Ch0pp3r Then you have the up to date Firmware on your box then if it has updated, because what was rolled was updated. :)

Hi Malci thanks very much for getting back to me with the link for the uk firmware.Il put it on later and then send it to my mate,Is it just a case of him doing a factory reset and power scan once he plugs it in over there?Is the uk rolling alot of new updates this week?Will the firmware just update it as it did here?

Yes mate it's as simple as that "Factory Default on his provider symbol rate N*L 6887 or 6952 T*l**est and a Full Power Scan", that's it - and it will AU and there has been a daily roll up to yesterday. :)

A daily roll is a term used that means Vermins keycodes (encryption) are being changed by them on a daily basis. Autoroll firmware is the little prog you load into your box which will detect and solve the problem hence the first time you ask about lost/scrambled channels you will be asked if you have the latest firmware installed.
Vermin have been known in the past to change the way their boxes interpret the key change hence the need for the need to load the newest firmware produced by a small group of dedicated people so that you and all of us can still receive the channels.
malci, myself and others have the link under our posts where you can access the latest firmware for all the boxes.
I could go on in detail but the above is a simple way of explaining it to help you understand.

That is correct, it is the Symbol rate for VM T/W*st Edinburgh/Lothian 6.952.
