Probably a stupid question, but can games that are patched to play on 5.00 M33 be played on previous M33 firmware (ex 3.80 M33-5)?

hey it says same instructions as before right but could some one point me to these, like what you do with the patcher and stuff, thanks bro.
PSP 1000 CFW 1.5>3.71 m33-2>6.0>5.0 M33-6, Custom Halo Gameboot, VSH Menu, Custom theme/icons.

Description: The steps:
1. Install 5.55 & 6.00 Games Decrypter like any other homebrew.
2. Boot into 5.50 GEN?s recovery console by holding R-TRIGGER on boot.
3. Go to Configuration -> XMB Usb Device -> change to UMD Disc.
4. Enable USB mode from the XMB; copy UMD9660.ISO to your local; open UMDGen.
5. In UMDGen open the UMD9660.ISO file.
6. Navigate to PSP_GAME/SYSDIR; highlight EBOOT.BIN; right-click -> Extract Selected?
7. Save it somewhere; boot into the recovery console again (See step 1); set the USB mode back to Memory Stick (See step 2).
8. Enable USB from the XMB again; copy the encrypted EBOOT.BIN to your memory stick root.
9. Exit out of USB mode and run the Games Decrypter app.
10. Enable USB mode one more time.
11. If you closed UMDGen, reopen it and open UMD9660.ISO; browse to PSP_GAME/SYSDIR.
12. From the newly created DECRYPTOR directory on your memory stick, drag & drop the unencrypted EBOOT.BIN to the right windowpane in UMDGen overwriting the original file.
13. Save the ISO; copy it to the ISO directory on your memory stick.
14. You?re done.

i have now upgraded from GEN-B2 through -D to GEN-D2 and do not use a patcher at present little big planet works straight off on D2
i skipped GEN-C as it has been reported for bricking alot of psp's

Do i always have to use decryptor to run cso game?? coz i created cso from my back up umd games n i couldnt get started(rugby challenge n tekken dark resurrection).

i can run rugby challenge but cant select play game in main menu, do i need to decrypt this game 1st??
im running 5.03 GEN-B
Or should i change to MHU then install decrypter into my ms??

Convert it to a .CSO, this file once decrypted will only play as a .cso it will not allow you to select game in the menu as a .iso

i dont understand ur answer.
My question is whether need to decrypt the game 1st before i can play??
Or should i change my cfwe to MHU(3.6)??

the game can be in two types ISO or CSO. it will only run as a cso on CFW not an iso so change it with UMDGEN or psp iso compressor
