Hi there ppls, now before i get shouted at i have been reading and follwing guides/comments posted on this site for a few years now just never bothered to sign up, never had a problem that hasnt be fixed for me through these forums :) now, i also realise there is many threads on this topic however i seem to be getting no where with burning 360 back up's to DL discs. i have used IMGBurn and DVD Decrypter to burn the dvd and iso files to two seperate branded discs. i have tried using only the dvd files and also tried just burning the iso files. i have set the layer break to the 1913760 and also tried optimal settings. My 360 has been flashed and purchased 'backups' work with no problems. could anyone help me with this. the two brands are ritek and verbatim. TS-H653R is the model of my writer. email if you prefer, but a little help would be seriously appreciated, thanks in advance
The layerbreak has to be 1913760, so there's no point wasting anymore discs trying optimal settings. Double-clicking the .DVD file should launch ImgBurn, then all you need to do is set the burn speed and hit burn as the layerbreak is set automatically by the .DVD file (that's all it does). Leave the "Verify" box checked and that will compare the burned disc with the ISO and check for read errors and miscompares. Bad burns could be the cause, so don't skip that step. Also, try updating the firmware of the burner before you burn any more discs. Out of date firmware can lead to bad burns on newer media.
Another possible cause is that your 360 is flashed with older firmware. If the discs that do work are all wave 1 or 2 games and the games you're trying to burn now are wave 3, then that could be the cause.
If you run all of your backups through ABGX and then just burn the .DVD files, you should be good to go. This will set the layerbreak automatically for you.
