Hi, Im new to the wii scene and have hit a problem,
i have backed up a few games, 1 works the rest dont.
i have followed many tutorials but reach same result, heres the method i use,
1- use wiiscrubber to scrub then trim (considerably smaller)
2- burn new image using nero(sometimes states iso is only suitable for cd not dvd)
3- when i insert into wii i get black screen and "An Error has occured.etc...."
settings.
Wii - 3.4e
chip - wasabi dx (updated to 1.2)
wasabi settings - region free(enabled) / autoboot(disabled) /Update blocker(enabled)
wasabi jumper settings - as PAL
i have even used cds and rwdvds same problem, i know theres nothing wrong with my media because
i updated the wasabi dx and played a backup game using both media and burner.
before i used the scrubber there was only one game worked(the cheapest and untrimmed) but it was 4.6gb
the rest froze at a black screen just after wii menu.
possible solutions.
ive read that i need to downgrade wii to 3.3 or 3.2, maybe new recent games have something built in to prevent backup.
im possibly doing something wrong with wiiscrubber or nero setting, or my wasabi dx isnt that good?
thinking of upgrading wasabi dx to 2.0.
ive wasted so much time and dvds, im desperate now, any wisdom on this matter would be highly appreciated,
CDs and RW don't work under any circumstances. You wasted your time there.
Back to basics.
1. Use good media. Verbatim or Taiyo YudenDVD-R 2. Don't use Wii Scrubber (why are you using it anyway?)
3. Use imgburn at 1/2 the rated DVD speed
4. Brickblock as necessary but until you develop confidence that you CAN burn backups, only use backups from your own region.
ok, thanks for reply i followed your instructions, downloaded imgburn and burnt at 4x
but now the icon appears in the wii menu when i select it and press start the screen goes blank and i have to power off.
im using wasabi dx and its a pal game, any ideas?
!!! SUCCESS !!! out of sheer fustration,i removed my wasabi dx and upgraded to 4.2e (Good thing bad thing i dunno)
refitted my wasabi dx and walaaa games working, no brick, no black screen only tried out pal so far but thats what i use anyways so...
