What drive to buy for backups???

Ive read through the tuts and discovered this list..
Samsung SH-D163A (SATA)
HP TS-H353A (SATA)
Samsung SH-D163B (SATA)
HP TS-H353B (SATA)
Samsung SH-D162C (IDE)
HP TS-H352C (IDE)
Samsung SH-D162D (IDE)
HP TS-H352D (IDE)
I just want opinions from people who have these drive and do there own backups. Im currently looking around on ebay and have seen the sh-d163a for around £20 GBP but before i buy it are there any issues i need to be concern with in regards to the above list or should i just buy whatever one i can find cheapest??
thanks in advance for any advise given??

really no issues.
Just buy one already flashed with kreon v1.0
You'll be set.
Make sure it has the correct connection that you'll use also (IDE vs SATA)

I think the "B" and "D" models are newer, but it really just does not matter which one you buy.
If you have Sata ports, get a
SH-D163A
TS-H353A
SH-D163B
TS-H353B
If you have IDE, then get
SH-D162C
TS-H352C
SH-D162D
TS-H352D
They all work fine.

Hi i really want the sata version as my motherboard only has one ide connection and its awkward to get to,
Also im confident that i could save the money and flash it my self,
are there any specific issues i need to know about when flashing with kreon or is it as straight forward as 360 drives?

It's easier than flashing a 360 drive. It's straight forward. Just use the flashing program that comes with it. The only problem is that sometimes it seems as if the flashing program freezes or locks up. If it does that, the drive is still flashed. Just exit the program.

i was under the impression that all xbox 360 drive was backup capable when you flashed them?

all but the hitachis, and this guy isnt talking about xbox drives to make backups, hes talking about pc drives.

Congrats on the AA, I just wish i started posting back in 2005/2006 when i was reading After dawn posts day in, day out.
Never mind give me a couple of years and ill soon be there lol
