I am currently trying to flash a 79fl drive without using a solder kit to use passkey. I have done everything to put it into modeb correctly and it is recognized in windows as a gdr3120. When i use the 79 unlock it runs and i have been able to run it in jungleflasher as well.
The drive is seen and it reads disc names when i open my computer. Although it will not play them.(except for 79 unlock)
The problem is that i cannot get it to read my firmware. I have tried it in jungle flasher and firmware toolbox.
i have via6421a and a ck3 kit( i have flashed a ms 25 drive and it worked fine)
ANy suggestions or answers to why the drive wont read when trying to raw dump

What OS are you running and do you know what version of the VIA driver do you have installed?
tried a few different things and just got a new error

Try installing the 5.30c driver. You will need to right click on the VIA card in Device Manager and click update software. Then click the option you want to manually locate the driver (Have Disk option), then locate the INF file from the RAR you just download and install. Reboot, get drive back in Mode B, and try to dump again.
I just found a possible problem. The Windows xp i have is a black edition that i torrented. The 3 copies of xp i have, when i load them on use their specific serials, they load up with nothing. (by nothing i mean no drivers, cant use internet, or anything not even framework loads correctly on them)
I got black and used a serial off one of my original xp discs. Perhaps it is missing files that are required for modding because it had been made to correct the problems, such as the lack of drivers and lack of updates.
Im going to work on getting one of my xp versoins to full working condition and try to see if it works.
