Hello,
I've just finished backing up my first 360 game, using the stickies here made it easier so thanks very much.
I also saw a few Videos on youtube and that where my questions come from
1. One video said that not all 360 games could be backed up, namely Fable 2 and Gears of War 2.
2. Another video said that the size of the DVD you using for hot swapping (wxripper) should be large like you should use a TV series DVD or something that is maxed out on space.
And the last questions don't come from a video but I'd just like to know
3. If xbox live catches you using backups do you just loose the gamer account or is the xbox it's self also banned from xbox live (as is no more online gaming for that unit)?
4. What are the most common ways to get caught doing all this.

thanks for the info
right now I'm using a samsung sh-s222 to rip and burn (39.99 at tigerdirect) but I'll for sure look into the kreon drive as soon as I get payed. The last this I need is a 400$ paper waight.
but right now I'm ripping with wxripper and cleaning up my backups with ABGX and burning onto verbatim dvd+r dl disks and it seems to be working, I have the 1.6 firmware running on a lite on drive
I almost had a heart attack when I was testing a backup and the game updated after witch the xbox wouldn't reconnect to xbox live till I truned it off and then on again. That was a kick myself in the butt moment >.<

I wouldn't play any of those backups you made with the wxripper method on xbox live, that's an easy way to get banned.

A movie DVD is maxed out on space aswell.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

WXRipper is just fine if used properly. It's good for people who
- do not have a Kreon drive
and
- do not know how to use their 360 to rip games
and
- do not have fast/unlimited bandwidth.
With WXRipper, you can just use any pc drive to rip the game data. Then just patch it with ABGX and burn. That would give you the same results as downloading a game.

yea I'm using ABGX to patch befor I burn the game, used the "How to Stealth Patch Your 360 Games (Idiot-Proof Guide" sticky to setup everything befor my first burn.
but if using a kreon drive is a safer way to backup games can someone please post a link to a good guide for the kreon method all I seem to find are older out dated guides

the kreon ripping guides arent outdated. thats how its still done, put game in drive, open XBC, hit rip, burn game. thats it.

it just sounds to easy lol I'm looking at drives on ebay right now it seems that the drives that have not been flashed are going for around 30$ and the one flashed ones with kreon 1.0 are anywhere from 42$-100$, but most offer free shipping :)
