i think that an unockable hard drive will not let you gte onto the M$ Dashboard to changes etting such as time, and date etc...

you won't be avle to get to the M$ dash so no you cam't change the settings. so choose a hard drive that is lockable

You can still get access to the ms dashboard from the evox dashboard if your hard drive is unlocked, well at least I can, either that or I'm insane, lol.

Well thats my problem, I would get a 7200rpm hdd but i keep hearing about heat issues .
I will not be putting anymore fans in the xbox, so will the stock cooling of the 1 fan be enough ?

i have another question, its their any point of getting over 160 gigs?
like i don't think i am ever going to have more then 60 games or movies so is that just a waste of space ?

i think that the extra space is worth it but it's really not needed unless you are turning your box to like a media center with craploads of movies and music ;)

Better check before you buy. I've read somewhere that you can not install over 137 GB unless you have a special bios that will read the extra data. Just looking out.
