ok help me out, I've been backing up my games with wxripper and patching them with ABGX before I burn them for about a day now and I think it's working fine, but the question I have is witch method is safer kreon or wxripper?
(I understand no method is 100% and the secound I flashed my 360 I stared to play the odds)
As I read the stickies and guides I see allot of people pointing out the fact that with the wxripper method you have to take apart your DVD ROM and the extra step of using ABGX to patch the .ISO
but Is their any Idea on witch method has the better track record? not fewer steps or faster but safer.
Well with wxripper/ABGX360, you are relying on the data to be legit. With Kreon, it gives a pre-determined angle (jitter applied) when ripping the security sector. There is a possibility you can get a 359 angle which is a bad response (fixable with ABGX and iXtreme 1.4 fixes it on the fly). Personally, I use a BenQ with iXtreme 1.6 0800 dedicated firmware to rip games. 0800 drives give a true response when ripping the security sector.
Yea I'm very much a noob, but I try to read befor I post, thats what I did when I was learning how to backup my sons wii games. I just see more options when it comes to the 360 and more risk.
