unreadable disc problems

I have my xbox 360 flashed with 1.6ix its a samsung ts h943 drive. I burned my own game and its telling me unreadable disc, i thought maybe it was the disc. i got my friend to give me a copy of his burned game which he says it worked for him no problems. The game is madden 2010 i played til about halftime and then it stopped reading the disc it said unreadable disc. So i shut off the xbox and started it back up and this time it read it til the main menu screen and then gave me the error again. What could this be, does my xbox need reflashed or my lens need cleaned? Or if i buy a new lens will this get rid of my flashed mod?

i have them dvds but it still dont read them correctly. But whenever i install the game to my hard drive it works....this just seems strange to me.. lol

Using a dvd cleaning disc with a brush could work, also if your playing 3rd wave games try taking your HDD out of your 360 and try that sometimes you get a corrupted file or if its not updated, if that still doesn't work adjust your burn speed, but you said your friends works fine so that shouldn't be the problem. I've also heard that overheating can cause this problem, and yes some people say reflashing has worked for them. Taking apart your xbox and cleaning the eye properly probably wouldn't hurt either and if that does work then also use the cleaning disc after every 10 hours of play
