1) i answered your questions as you asked them.
2) i said i wouldnt even charge you, just cover shipping, which is by far the best deal you could EVER get from anyone. try to find someone willing to have you send them your drive and flash it and not have you pay the return shipping. if you do, i promise you that you will not get your drive back.
3) i dont give horrible descriptions of what to do, i leave that up to the newbies that 'act' like they know what to do.
4) i do pick on the older people, and even if i didnt, oh well, get over it.

I'm going to comment on a few of the posts in this particular thread. I am pretty old school when it comes to tech. In my day we called backups bootlegs. We did everything from reel to reels to liquor. And with everything we did there came risks. There was also new customers and with new customers come the same old questions.
Now as a person with knowledge of the questions being ask you can either do one of 3 things. Be patient and answer the question, Direct them to the answer or just ignore them. But beating them up for asking the question is like beating a child for asking a you a question when there are plenty of other resources to get the answer.
I am new to the Xbox scene but new to the game. And Here is a small contribution to your question

I have found others that have pretty much similar answers . You take on whatever risks in order to be able to play early or play for cheap. If you don't have the money set aside for another console just in case u are one of the unlucky ones to get banned, then don't take the risk. If you don't give 2 SH..s then by all means have at it and let us know how tight the release is.
Now was that so hard!? From one nube to another.

Noobs who ask the questions that have been answered 7,582,936,241 times should expect to be rode. It's like that on EVERY forum. Accept it. I was NEVER ridden as a noob because I did a 10 second search to find my answers, and only asked for help on things that were legitimately hard to find, or untouched on. In other words, I didn't ask dumbass questions.
By the way, I doubt Microsoft would have leaked Forza 3 intentionally simply to ban more people. They'd get nothing out of it. "Ban-ees" would have to buy more 360s, but money is made off of the software, not the hardware.

I doubt the game was leaked by M$ for the simple fact that the preview copy was sent out some time ago in order to get the early reviews in. Another possibility is that the games are either ready to be shipped or are already in stores awaiting release date.
So either some slick Walmart/ Blockbuster Employee opened a copy and leaked it or a roomate of one of the guys reviewing it leaked it. Either way the game has already been played on planty of xboxes and was bound to get leaked early.

Microsoft releasing this makes no sense. It isn't worth a couple of stupid bans. The money they lose on these games being pirated far outweighs the money gained from banning your 360. Calm down people.

I can understand where you are coming from saying M$ will lose money. I don't think it will work like that though, people who have downloaded and played now, would have just had to wait 2 more weeks to be in the situation they find themselves in now, and with a copy that can be checked by ABGX. Not paid now, wouldn't pay in two weeks time.
Situation as it is now - People are playing Forza now and the copy is not verified on ABGX against a retail version - this all means no extra revenue for M$, but possible bans for people.
Situation if not leaked and obtained on release date - People have had to wait till release till they download and copy can be verified on ABGX against the retail - This also all adds up to no extra revenue for M$, but with verified copy on ABGX, supposedly making it harder to detect, meaning no or less bans.
Both scenarios equate to no extra revenue for M$, the situation we have now though as it is a leaked copy and can't be verified against the retail version on ABGX, who knows maybe they put something into this version to stand out from the retail so it would show up, if that?s possible and I?m not saying it is as I don?t know.
Not trying to scare monger but if I were M$ and they were able to put something in that will make this copy show up different from the retail or if they are just trying to see if people are silly don't unplug the internet or don?t change the date for game saves etc. Then this is what I would have done and leaked the game. The situation we currently have is better for them, instead of people getting hold of retail copies and doing the same thing they are doing now anyway.
In two weeks time everyone who has it now will have it then. No one has any extra money either way, but M$ possibly have a chance to ban a few people the leaked way.

I love talking about this crap. I think M$ is still gonna make out on this title because the mod community is relativley small as well as Forza has a smaller following than a Halo Title. Forza is one of those titles that you either love of hate. You have a lot of new people buying because the name is climbing the charts like GT or NFS. But the game itself is probably one of the best console racers out there with a lil for both the casual and hardcore sim racer. With the 3 screen setup and a Fanatec Wheel do you really that the hardcore racers will be wasting there times with modded copies. And when you consider the fact that the people who are playing backups really don't care too much about the titles more than just to have them, M$ really isn't losing out at all. If there were no such thing as modding the consumer would be very picky about what they would buy. There are very few people who would buy every title. I think this hurts the video game trade industry more than it would hurt the publishers. This actually helps the publishers because The Bootleggers Promote games they would normally not buy.
If I never bought a game but had them all I would talk all day about the hot ones. It's network marketing and the publishers don't have to pay me a dime.

Going back on topic has anyone gotten this to work. there's about 4 people on a website I use that cant get it working plus me. the other 100 or so people havent responded to say if it's working or not so I assume they are playing it.

Hell there is gonna be some firmware battles real soon and I'm assuming the worst that the ban hammer is gonna fall sooner rather than later. But to answer ur question i put it in to see if it loads and mine does. Haven't played it but was wondering if just putting it in alerts M$.
