A long time ago I modded my xbox to have access to all my games at once and store all my anime. Only problem was once it was modded you couldn't play games online. So my question: I have Mario Kart and i love playing it online, but it I mod my Wii will I still be able to play online.

Hi,

I have Softmodded my Wii, and have no problems playing Mario Kart Online. ("back up" copy)

I'm not sure if i'm right, but I think it's got something to do with your not actually going through Nintendo as such, just logging onto the Mario Kart game server.

I also know of 2 other people personally who have softmodded Wii's and still play Mario Kart online, with both "backed up" copies, and originals.

My Wii is softmodded and i have a backed up copy of mario cart and i play online and it works great so dont worry.

Online works with backups.

The only thing they are known to ban people for is cheating.
