doing a samsung drive gets seen in j/f can get it into vendor mode but when i press read i get message invalid status 0xf0 i have i/o port drivers installed and using a via card never had this before any help thanks

Possible VIA driver issue. Try removing the VIA driver:

1. Disable VIA card in Device Manager.
2. Go to C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers and remove "viamraid.sys" or "vsmraid.sys".
3. Re-enable VIA card in Device Manager.
4. Re-Boot PC.
