So what does everyone think so far? I only had 3 hours last night and made it to the elevator in Nepal. I'm still undecided as to whether or not I like the first one better.
The whole betrayal theme is very predictable. So while the story is good, it's not grabbing me yet. It seems cliche, and I was expecting more. Thank goodness Sully is back. Although overall impressive, I feel like there is less fighting than I was expecting/hoping for. Maybe it's too early in the game.
Gameplay - tight. The first one had great character control. This just adds to that. And the additions are welcome. Stealth introduced, tweaked gun control, slide-to-cover. Solid improvements.
Grahics - ok. A little better in some aspects, but not above par in others. The terrain and environment are amazing. But I feel that character expressions are still lacking. Maybe that's just a limitation of this gen. I wish Nate didn't look like he had botox injected in his forehead. The facial expressions on the chick are much better. Could use some work, but much better than Nate. If they were marketing this game for its "movie feel" then they probably should have included more detail in the cut scenes.
I've got a long way to go and still have to explore all the features, so some of these comments may be premature. But they are first impressions. Being a huge fan of Uncharted 1, I may be over-critical, but I'm still grateful for a solid release.
Thoughts?

I just got done with the Nepal level and it was really intense. This games starts out really slow IMO. But after the Run and Gun slomo and the collapsing building and the train gameplay in the Nepal level all I have to say is wow...I was blown away.
I agree with emugamer on the graphics detail. Its not that much different from uncharted 1. Its a lil better I guess they focused on the environment and physics more than the characters like how the helicopter blows all the plants as it approaches...small details like that.
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

Glad you like the game so far! I'm sure it will pick up for me once I finish up with Nepal. Definitely an improvement in physics and enviroment. Have you tried multiplayer yet? I was hoping that they would have more level options for co-op, and was disappointed when I briefly went on last night and saw the same 2 that were featured in the demo. Are more unlockable? Or maybe dlc? I see the potential for lots of dlc for this game.

I'll add you. Only going to have time for single player tonight, but one of these nights I'll try to see if you're on.
The action is getting intense. The helicopter fight is pretty amazing too. Almost done with Nepal, and it has gotten so much better. Definitely a slow start, but man, it's non-stop action now! And I'm only at chapter 7. It's so good to see Elana again....lol.
I can see the appeal to the "movie" feel of the game. For a while I forgot I was playing a game.

Wow, is all I can say. Not finished with Nepal yet, and it's really impressed me. The part I really enjoyed was the chase. Having to drag a wounded reporter through buildings and alleys while shooting and dodging was amazing. Hopefully I'll get to the train fight tonight! I think I want to play through that scene again :P

I would say that the game play such as aiming, running, jumping is unchanged. I like the new stealth assault.
Graphics in the first were great but 2 has great detail far and near. Overall, it is a big improvement.
I?m in Nepal just after meeting Elana and camera man.
Starts off slow but is action packed now.

Finally finished the game and overall I was satisfied. Nepal was by far the best level and will be replaying that one on all difficulties. I get impatient when it comes to online because it takes way too long to get matched up with other ppl. And I suck lol. But I guess it will get easier once I get some perks.

Man, still not finished yet...lol. Maybe it's because I've spent a couple of hours online. Plus I tend to go slower to begin with. Up to chapter 22 or 23. I'm not a big fan of deathmatch right now. Maybe because everyone is at level 15+ and everyone seems to have boosters. I die after 2 pistol shots, but it takes 10 for me to take that same person down. The coop story is a lot more fun for me. I'll be on tonight at around 7ish. Anyone else feel free to add me - psn= LiToDiAl

Yeah, it seems very long. Got to 95% last night. I don't know when I'm going to finish. I need to get my boosters! Gonna wait for the treasure video walkthroughs on youtube. Some dude posted them for Uncharted 1. They were a big help. Cool thing about the treasures in this one is that the menu tells you how many you missed in each chapter.
Shambala is pretty sick. Taking down the Shamby's with a gatling gun was quite rewarding!

I did not notice the menu-treasure thing. Gatlin gun is nasty. Arrows work good on them to.

Aw man, I can't beat Lazy-oral-itch, or whatever his name is. And I can't change the difficulty to normal or easy, because then I get no unlocks. I get about 5 shots of sap in his eye and then he goes hog wild on me, jogging and shooting and throwing 4-5 grenades at once. I'd better get this done tonight. But someone please tell me, does Elana survive?
