The Wi-Fi Alliance has announced that work on a new way for connecting wireless devices directly to each other is nearing completion. Devices could start being certified for Wi-Fi Direct, as the new standard is called, some time next year. Would be nice to see them work with BlueTooth. WIFI - B,G,N and BlueTooth.

Yeah............I agree. That would be nice but I expect not going to be the case. Anyway, good luck overtaking Bluetooth. No one really gives a crap, so long as it connects with ease and stays connected. That's BT right now.

Kinda like long distance service.............who cares who your bill provider is..........just as long as you can hear the person on the other end clearly and your bill is cheap.
