I have someone coming from the us to my country, and that presents me with the opportunity to bring stuff.

I need to get a better headset for gaming. My research so far was futile.

I want a headset that I can use both for computer (with mic if possible) and with the 360 ( I have that adapter that turns the rca to a ps2 plug already). A 30 dollars tag being good enough I guess.
Im aware I can´t have xbox live sound on one of those but I don´t really care. In those rare times when I play online Ill use speakers and the mic that comes with the console.

I already have a headphone, but it have no volume swith, and when I connect it to the xbox, i have no control over the audio volume (and is always low).

So, first, which one you recommend?

And second, will any headset that have a volume control on it be able to boost the raw volume that comes out of the xbox360? Or is possible that this volume control will only decrease the already low output volume?

Thanks.

The X1 is the only turtle beach headset that will work with the xbox 360 and the pc (here's the info). The X1 is $60 though. There's a cheaper option called the XLC, this is the most basic xbox 360 headset and cannot be used with a pc.

How do you connect your xbox to your TV? If its not HDMI, I bet you could get on for your PC and one for your xbox for under $30 if you look around.

I use my monitor, I connect with vga.

I had explored turtlebeach for a while but hadnt noticed the X1 could be used by pc as well..

I guess I´ll get a refurbished one of those. 40$ but i guess the sound would be worth it right?

Thanks!

I have the X31 and its fantastic. I suppose the X1 is the same, just wired. You can hook it up to the tv or pc.
