I've got several dvds that don't have any encryption or copy protection and I would like to know how to use Nero to basically copy from drive to drive. These dvds are already been pre-shrunk and are dvd-5.

All I want to do is put the unprotected dvd in my dvd-rom drive and a blank dvd in my dvd burner and make a copy of the disc. Is this possible??

Thanks in advance for any assistance that I might receive.

i recommend not doing it that way though. copying dvds on the fly takes a very fast computer and even then, you still will probably get errors.

V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

Why not just use DVD Decrypter ISO read then ISO write. Works a treat and will take about 1/2 hour with a resonably fast drive.

i should have mentioned that it is best not to copy on the fly.......set Nero to create a temp image (which it will autonatically delete when done).

i have heard it said copying on the fly can cause probs but i have never had a problem myself.

Thanks for all the replies to my question. I've got a lot of different ideas and methods to consider for making a back up copy of an unprotected dvd.

I've been reading these forums for a few months and you guys are very knowledgeable.

Peace!!!!!
