Noticed on one of the test channels that VM are advertising a smartcard rollout for UK. Anybody got any more Info regarding this? If this is what happened recently in Ireland then looks like the game is up. I Hope the posties keep striking then no one will receive it :-D

Dont know much but based in Ireland and its a nightmare with N3 and no fix.

All I can say as a positive if it is then perhaps its going to give the box/sw developers a big carrot to chew.

Most pips in the UK I imagine are still on there very first boxes they ever bought so imagine the revenue from new boxes if uk go N3.

Win Win all round for the rest if they do. Im just hoping for a fix like anyone on N3 so just clutching at straws.

Enjoy it as long as it last is what I say.

movies and footy on the net has come a long way if you ask me so for the moment this is my stop gap until anything appears.

Yes like you ive seen a lot of different stuff said but I think that N3 is due to be rolled out in the uk as in eire which was used as a test run. I dont think there will be a fix anytime soon but I expect uk users to be going crazy and overloading the forum with the same questions u guys asked when it happened over there. Oh well wait and see ( Drink a few stellas in the mean time ;-D )

Dont worry folks

According to the Virgin Media support forum, they are only sending cards out to replace very very old ones. No change in service.
