Beginning on November 3rd, Sony will begin offering slim PlayStation 3 units with 250GB HDDs, the largest drives available to date. Good job, Sony, for not charging more than the extra HD space is worth...or only offering it in a pricier bundle.

Although this is great news for casual users. I still think they should promote the fact that is SUPER easy to swap the HDD in the PS3 on your own. I'd rather buy the basic PS3 and slap a 500gb HDD (like i already did) than buy a puny 250gb unit.

It doesn't matter HOW easy it is...a large number of end-users don't want to deal with upgrades.

i agree with that... i told my friend how easy it is to replace the hdd in the PS3, it's basically like changing batteries in a flashlight, but she still told me it's too complicated (i guess it's the firmware part).
