Looks like MS is really going to stur up the hornets nest this fall.
Now we got 2 unmoddable Lite On's, profiles being banned, memory units being banned. All we need now is a massive console ban to wrap it up.

Yeah, everything is going belly up. I was just reading in the fw channel, some guy thinks DComics Forza3 was a bad rip and causing the bans but it isn't nuked though...
a little off topic lol

More like hopefully they want to do it. If the team has to decap that chip everytime, I can see where MS could use that to their advantage and, say, make some simple firmware changes every quarter or so.
We already have 4 Lite On versions now. This can easily turn in to the same hassle as the Hitachi drives. It's because of so many different versions of Hitachi's that the team works on the firmware for the Hit drives last.

If there was no longer anyway to play modded games on the Xbox, i'm sure the sales would extremely slide, and the PS3 would flourish.

Agree, i have suspected in the past maybe M$ delibratly made it possible to hack. Maybe there is pressure for the Game Industry
