Hey everyone, I'll start out by waring you that I'm completely new to anything regarding modding 360 drives so everything will have to be in laymens terms, thanks for your patience. So as the title says i need to switch out a broken hitachi drive for a BenQ drive. I don't really care about actually modding the drive unless that's along the way of whatever is necessary to switch them. I've tried looking up guides and such, but it's so mind boggling diving right in that i need to be pointed in the right direction by someone who knows exactly what i need.
Need to ask a question along the same lines as I don't want to have to make a new thread. I'm ordering a new BENQ drive to replace the one I have now as its giving problems. On my original I've already flashed to Ixtreme 1.6. Do I need to flash the original firmware from my old one to the new one before flashing or can I just put ixtreme on and slap it back together? Thanks.
great thanks for the help leerage, just a few questions: where can i find a link to jungleflasher, what are the odds of bricking my drive(s), what can i do to minimize that risk, and is there anything to do than than hooking up the SATA cable and running jungleflasher? Thanks in advance,
Edit:
So tried hooking up the hitachi drive but i get as far as putting it into mode b. I follow the instructions and unplug the power cord from the drive to the box and hit ok, jungleflasher then immediately freezes, what am i missing?
