Ok, need to switch over a broken liteon drive with a benq which I am hopefully going to spoof with Jungleflasher, and with a little help of the connectivity kit v3pro. I have set the kit up, downloaded, jungleflasher and portIO32, all I wanted to know is is it absolutely necessary to have a VIA SATA Card? My mobo has 5 or 6 spare sata connections, and I have checked in the devive manager and my rig uses a Sil 3132 Satalink Controller. Would this be any use or will I have to have a rummage on Ebay for the right tool for the job. Any thoughts will be gratefully received.
I have an Nforce 2 chipset that did the trick, I tried with the via VT6421A pci set and it froze up my computer several times after trying 2 different drivers and removing the drivers as suggested on this site.
