Hey, I bought a 360 and a friend chipped it with software to play copied games. It plays older games fine, i.e COD5 GRID...
However I have recently got copied versions of Batman and Forza 3 and they are not loading on the 360. I am getting a XBOX 360 loading screen and it freezes here.
I was simply wondering how I upgrade the software chip to play newer games, since I am new to this.
be glad that forza isnt loading for you. MS just did a massive banning for those that played it early. luckily i made it through for some reason. maybe because i wasnt signed in at the time?? who knows, not going to complain.
Come talk with us on efnet at #elitemods !!! or just click ME
ALSO, DO NOT SEND ME MESSAGES ON LIVE REGARDING MODDING CONSOLES, OR HOW I PLAYED A CERTAIN GAME EARLY. I WILL NOT RESPOND. I WILL INSTEAD DELETE YOUR MESSAGE, AND BLOCK ALL COMMUNICATION FROM YOU. JUST SEND ME A PM ON HERE.
It sounds like your friend flashed your drive with an older firmware that doesn't support wave 3 games. The simple answer is - update the firmware. You might want to hold off though, as the first wave 4 games have just hit the scene, although there's no ETA for any new firmware at the moment. If your mate knows what he's doing, I'd get him to flash the console to the latest current firmware and forget about any wave 4 titles until a new firmware is released.
