Hi looking at buying mmds aerial off skywonder, but they look different than most of the ones on houses beside me. The aerials beside me are more a square mesh whereas the ones on skywonder are straight. Are the skywonder a newer version, will they still work with chorus?

hi mate if your on chorus in ireland you need to read through the other threads before buying an aeriel or box as a lot of the channels have now gone including sky sports,espn and the movies.

True no one knows how long it will last, with ntl cable gone, new white sky cards just looking at another option!

If you are getting mmds stick with the same antenna, i have tried a few and an old one that i got from someone that got sly tv is the best !

take a look at the list of updated threads and look at the thread (live football via broadband)its an other option to look at and free(keep you going a while)when you read it ,if you want the info pm me.be glad to help .

If you are going for one of those ariels, they are only rated to work within 15 miles of transmitter, but you should be ok at further distance once you have clear line of sight to it!

Cheers gonna have to find out where the transmitter is coming from, i havent seen any chorus aerials in my area mainly sky dishes so that might indicate that the signal isnt strong enough, gonna have to get in the car go roof lookin!!

what part of the country are you in and a will be able to give you advice on whether you have signal in your area and which down converter you need for aerial

Hi Lads not trying to put anyone off buying mmds boxes but i have a contact in chours and he says that now that the cables is sorted they will now start on the mmds system just letting ye know
