So I needed to replace a hitachi drive with a samsung. I dumped the hitachi firmware, and saved the key and OSIG in a notepad. I connected the samsung, I put the hiatchi's firware as the source, I put ix1.6 as the target and hit "spoof to drive" it wrote everything fine, I read the drive again and it reported as being a samsung spoofed as hitachi with the dvd key which exactly matched the hitachis.

However.. when I connect the samsung to the new console, I get the E65 error. I have re-done it several times including just erasing the samsung and starting from a blank flash but still have same issue. The Hitachi still works in that console. and the hitachi was never spoofed its definitely the original drive for that console.

Any ideas?
