i've got a problem with majority of my backed up games after moding. Got the x-box moded last week to 1.51 as the guy said that he so far doesn't have good experience with 1.6 that quite often it doesn't work properly.
after that i tried to play FIFA 10, Batman, NBA, Fallout 3 and all of them work for like 3 min or basically until i start the game properly or a minute into the match (fifa case). the game then shuts down with message that the disc is damaged or dirty to clean it. i tried to burn again with the same result. (use abgx on every game burn with imageburn at 2.4 on Verbatin) tried to instal the game onto the hard-drive but fails after 20% with damaged disc message.
I also reseted the clock and cleared CACHE with no result.
On the other hand NFS and sturmovik work just fine.

am kind of running out of ideas and want to get it sorted. was thinking about putting a wave 3 patch on but from what i read it doesn't necessary work and could get me banned

any ideas or advice would be appreciated...

Either you using bad backups (do you check with abgx?), rubbish mead (always use verbatims) or you need to do the POT Calibration (use search to find details)

i always use abgx to to stelth patch games n use only verbatins.. will check the last thing, never heard of...

Might as well use a q-tip with alcohol to clean the laser on your DVD drive before attempting the pot calibration. Make sure you use a multimeter if you do end up needing to do the pot cal.

ive had this same problem with fifa10 i installed it to th hd and it seems to work fine now i wonder if this is a general issue with fifa10?

each time i try to instal either of the games on the hard drive it stops at a certain percentage (fifa 20, fallout 41, batman )unfortunately i dont know anyone else around with a moded xbox to try the games out on a different console...

my freind modded mine and i don't know what he did but basicly he said he increased the stregth of the laser so it could read burnt games.

he said he had to do the same thing with his or it would skip during cutscenes

ok, so i just tried to tweak the pot with not such a perfect result. first of all i had a micrometer only up to 10k ohm so didn't get perfect readings as sugested in other toppics but had an idea where i'm at. started to play with it:
tweaked some 10 % - no result
some 20% - thought there is a slight improvement as batman asked me if i wanted to start a new profile rather than just telling me to clean the disc
some 30% - none of the burned games worked but originals worked fine
at this point decided that its not safe to cary on further without a proper meter and put everything back into original state.

the question i have now - i used a how to guide by moda which is actually based on a hitachi drive i believe, and the thing didn't look nothing like my philips, but still closer to the philips one i found online... could it be that i was tweaking the wrong pod? although have to say that the original game still worked could it be that this is not the solution to my problem?

am quite confused, dont even know why i bother so much since its not even my xbox...

woooooow just as typing this the fallout started to work sudenly.gave it the last try and $$$.. lol but fifa still retarded...
