Question about Forza 3 and Borderlands bannings

I was wondering what is the best way to keep yourself banned from these games. I got both games awhile before release and although I have not yet played Borderlands, I played Forza 3 for a few minutes in my xbox with my HD and ethernet cable disconnected.

Will it be safe to definitely play these games once the release date arrives or will my copies of Forza and Borderlands still potentially put me in risk of getting banned? I'm hoping MS is only banning pre-release and doesn't have some other trick up their sleeves about being able to detect retail vs pirated copies.

No one can tell for sure if or how microsoft detects backed up games, but according to the blog i read the microsoft rep said they were banning people who played games befor the release date but not to worry if you have your receipt you wont get banned or they would unban you so im gonna take a wild guess and say they cant tell between backup or retail of these titles, and i personally will be playing boarder lands on the 20th

the blog was on kotaku, im not 100 percent sure if he said "unbanned" but he stated that if you have the receipt your fine to play early.
