The banana spit method is the simplest way to flash an xbox 360 drive, and cannot be detected by microsoft hence no ban. There's a few ways to do it, but my method is by far the easiest:
Step 1: Have xbox 360 dvd drive ready, cut the sata cable in two. Plug one end of the sata cable into you pc's sata port, and the other end to your dvd drive.
Step 2: Bridge the sata cable connection by inserting one end of the cable in to one side of the banana and vice versa.
Step 3: Power on the xbox 360 drive in the following pattern: ..-..-...-.......(. represents short duration 1-2 seconds, - respresents a longer duration 5-6 seconds) (the pattern translates to "flash"... it's morse code).
Step 4: Unplug banana and reassemble xbox.
