That log you posted shows that you were using the same crappy Ritek discs that you were using in your last thread about burns failing at 50%. lol.
The disc ID of Verbatims will be this for the 2.4X rated ones: -
(Disc ID: MKM-001-00)
And this for the 8X rated ones: -
(Disc ID: MKM-003-00)
The disc ID from your log: -
(Disc ID: RITEK-D01-01)
When you say you bought them "my friend" do you mean "from my friend", cos if so, it looks like your "friend" ripped you off!

I don't know the exact reason, but I've seen people posting about drives being able to read discs but not write them on various forums, so it's a fairly common problem when a burner is on its way out.
The burner I use for 360 games is the Optiarc AD-7200S which gives great quality burns. It's an internal drive for desktop machines and it connects via SATA rather than IDE, so make sure it's right for you before you consider buying one.
Here's a review which shows some test results when burning Verbatim dual layer discs: -
http://www.cdfreaks.com/review/14358-Opt...-performance-7/
You won't get much better burns than that on any drive.

That's not something I know much about mate. Sorry. Hopefully someone else will be able to help you with that and maybe recommend a decent external burner.

Why start a new thread for exactly the same questions --- AND ANSWERS -- that you already had?

As was said in your previous thread. Or do you want me to quote it?
For your benefit, here is the quote. It is the FIRST RESPONSE in the thread, written by me.
Quote: Everybody is going to tell you that the problem is crappy media, and they may be right.
However, every time I've seen this error, it's been due to a crappy burner. Usually it happens with laptop DVD burners.
