And now the end is near....
Now I have to find a mug to flog my Starview 3 to.
Its been a good run though and no doubt the forums that are still left will go into meltdown asking where da fix is.

well how do you no this?? my mate got a basic package and box etc from them yesterday and there was no mention of a new card the guy just installed it and that was it,and now has his starview 5 up and runing fine.

there is a new smartcard beeing issued and surely they would not issue new cards without changing encryption.but my question is how come the very old stb boxes will work with n3? without a change of box.my stb must be 6yrs+ now and i just got my new smartcard and hey it works in my old box.baffling but it was good while it lasted for a few years and soon will be the n3 switchover in the uk.

i have a nokia dbox 2 with abit of hope it will come back to life in the near future after the switch over of N3 / IPTV!
im just waiting for the sites to be hit with the same question over & over! - should be fun watching the mods going crazy lolol :D - sorry guys but someone has to laugh about the situation :P
anyhow enjoy it whilst it lasts! my nokia dbox2 is still going strong so enjoying it whilst i can! - probably going to invest in the sat versions of the box's and see if they are any good! - got to be better than paying a bill at VM/Sly - and much better than Freeview channels!

Haha you're right I am a tight arse.We(most)all are on here with our dodgy boxes.
I'll be off to get a sat dreambox receiver me thinks.
Lets be honest bar the sport the rest of sky/virgins subscription tv is a load of old arse.

agree'd the sat box's seem to be the way to go ! ill be using one of these as soon as my box gets switched off!
tbh mate i dont really watch the tv. its just for the misses to stop her from being bored - tbh she is still bored with 300+ channels to view! (women) :) but i do agree its main use for me is the footie & rugby :D

The pirate card is called Centaurus.
The new RSA Card on the market.

That means 2 provider are so entschlüsselbar.

Dreamboxes are not the way forward either via the card sharing technique - sky italia is down and so will most other sky related platforms very soon...
Lets hope the eurovox can keep going longer...!!!

SlyUK is using NDS3, this took a few weeks to work out on the sat side using the DM500S etc or equivilent. dont bin the dmm500C or anything that is the same just , be patient and things will come along, dont rush and dont keep posting if things are ready yet, when it is you will know i am sure of that !

no not an expert on cable but on sat.... yeah i am pretty good, just seen this happen in the past and things calm down once things sort themselves out, as for SkyIT , this has been fixed now, its like the reinvention of the wheel when the same thing is posted time and time again thats all, dont shoot me down , just giving my 2Pence worth just like everyone else on here

N3 will not happen until the infostrutre is in place and tivo has completed works expected change over is aprox july 2010 and this is totally unconfirmed ATM.
Yes its going but it wont happen this year
