Ok I"ve modded a few other xbox 360s before like lite-on and Sammy but I am trying to flash my Friends Drive and i think its bricked..

I don't have Orig.bin file but i heard you just need the DVD key which I do have so. I wanted to know if there was anyway I can fix this drive or does he have to buy a new one?

Just use jungle flasher, get the drive into vendor mode. Then load the Ixtreme 1.6 into the target buffer, and insert your key that you have in the key field.

then use MTKflash tab, and just click write.

that will erase the current firmware on the drive, and write the new ix with the 'correct' key;

then just outro the drive and you're done;
