did I get a bad drive? or am I missing something?

just got my new Kreon drive (sh-d162d)and I put a game in the drive to make a back up and all I get is "This is not a true 1 to 1 copy of the Image see readme for more details" so what am I doning wrong? help me out
edit If it helps in the box it does state
getting media info [2:4]
media type: dvd-rom
bytes used: 7,05 gb (7 572 881 408 bytes)

hi there i have the same drive ..
are you using xbox creator 2.8 or 2.9
use 2.8 for wave 2 games or older and 2.9 for wave 3 games
as for the 2.1 cant remember seeing that one i always see the 1.1 bit
everytime you open the xbox software go to options and select your drive
then go to read and open your drive tray and put game in close tray and let the software read the game . if the software says 7.5 or 7.30 you can rip it as its the full game . and in the read me bit you can rip your backups using this software i do but use imgburn to burn the discs
hope that helps .. ps if you try a wave 4 game let me know how it goes

tryed on v 2.8 and v 2.9 the game I'm backing up is Gears of war 2
all I get is this on the log

yes,,that is never a 1 to 1 copy,,,the original disc is a pressed copy and there is stuff on the disc that cannot be copyed,,,you will get the entire game,,and make sure on creator that you tick complete copy on the left side of the program,,that could be why your not getting what you want

it just doesn't give me the option to make the copy at all, the option to start the copy never unlock

on top of the program where you can chose a drive,, to the right there are two opions,,i think isop or something like that,,tick on both of them and see what happens

ok now that i have a pic of the program,,SPTI,,or ASPI,,tick one fo them and see if it works,,and make sure you on read,,

I really dont get this from the second I open the progam v2.8 or v2.9 both open with the same error or at least i think its an error
"this is not a 1 to 1 copy of the image see read me for more details"
now minde you this is the text i get next to the start button and i get the message with or without a dive in the drive
I've tryed with aspi and spti
and I've taken the steps you said
1 open program
2 go to options and select drive
3 go to read
4 open drive put disc in and close
5 let xbc do it thing

ok what operating system are you using,,and if you have to go into control panal and uninstall the drive restart the computer and let it reinstall again,,make sure you dont have any other program like anydvd running in the back ground,,,

I set the Kreon drive a primary DVD rom and its working or at least it worked one time here goes try number 2
