Hey guys, I was just wondering, what is the smallest xbox 360 game?

The smallest i know is ODST at 6.44 GB.

But i know you can do better than that! What is the smallest game you know of?

Are you talking about how much hard drive space is taken up when you install a game in full? If so, there are lots of games that take up less room than 6.44 GB. One of those games is actually Halo 3: ODST which takes up exactly 3.5 GB when installed (I've just looked at the install size on my console).

No, its not a game, i was just interested, thats all. I meant the size of the iso. I think they all end up as 7.4 GB when you burn em, but before that they're smaller.

If no-one gets what i'm on about, may as well forget it, i was only interested in how small developers could make a game.

yeah, i realise, but i was meaning the unpadded size, when the image is compressed.(as the compression doesn't really compress the data much, only the padding)

I don't think anyones really interested though.

That is an interesting question on just what is in the padding, and is it really needed. The lowest I've seen was 6.8gb I believe, but I cant remember which game. I can see something like Call Of Duty being large due to the graphics and HD but take a game like one of those 360 Aracde deals where the games are originally literally kilobytes in size, then they stick them on a 360 disc and they turn up 7 GB. Even if the disc had a built in emulator to emulate whatever processor the original game code was written for, it wouldnt be that big.

Kinda reminds me of those God Of War PS2 games that were ripped from DVD9 to fit on a DVD5 and played just fine.

Even more strange, but in the same vein, is the compilations of XBLA titles. They must be around 200 Mb in size, but eight add up to about 7Gb? Very strange.
