not since RROD is for three years. pretty much every console is covered. just put a new warranty sticker on it and send it in.

Come talk with us on efnet at #elitemods !!! or just click ME

ALSO, DO NOT SEND ME MESSAGES ON LIVE REGARDING MODDING CONSOLES, OR HOW I PLAYED A CERTAIN GAME EARLY. I WILL NOT RESPOND. I WILL INSTEAD DELETE YOUR MESSAGE, AND BLOCK ALL COMMUNICATION FROM YOU. JUST SEND ME A PM ON HERE.

It was first released only for 3 rrod, then late 08/early 09 microsoft extended it for E74.

I've had luck with sending in consoles without warranty stickers. As long as it doesn't look opened like the inside isn't xclamped or the back isn't pried open, they'll fix it.

Ill make sure the other person didnt take the xclamps off then. but if they off how is getting RROD lol, most RROD are bc overheating right

Not always, you need to check the secondary error code. Check that and post back and I'll tell you if it's self repairable.

Oh. I'm sure there are other systems for you to buy. I buy broken systems with all cables for $30-40.

No, I craigslist them but whichever one that hasn't been a good buy has been fixed by MS. I got a couple warranty stickers laying around ;)

So far I'm waiting on 1 system to be fixed and an Elite and Pro need to be sent in. All actually came with warranty stickers, the seller didn't realize it was under warranty.

No. If a system breaks it's MS's responsibility to fix it if it's under warranty. It doesn't matter how I got the system, thats none of their business.

The back of the system has the manufacture date and I believe it's logged at Microsoft for when the system was bought so basically it's 3 years from then. After you register the system online (try to register online first, if that doesn't work call) It'll say "Standard Warranty Expired" most likely. Click "Request a Repair" and say 3 flashing lights and it'll say at the bottom $0.00 repair.

Click the Request a Repair

Choose 3 flashing lights and Print Shipping Label

In the Red Box it says:
Standard Warranty Expired: A three-year warranty applies to Xbox 360 consoles indicated by the three red lights.

What if someone already registered the system on Microsofts site ? When you try to register it under your e-mail it says this xbox is already registered use the original e-mail address is there a way around this ?
