For when a new iXtreme version

Hi guys,
As the title suggest, Im running a iXtreme 1.5 and I'm planning to flash my box soon (I didnt want to upgrade as I had (and still have) a pile of unplayed blockbuster games).
The thing is, I'm really into playing some of the newer games but they're all wave 3 ones.
Now that the wave 4 games became a reality and knowing that the actual iXtreme 1.51 play them and iXtreme 1.6 also play them with the only "problem" of having to put the activation disk everytime, how long shall we wait before having a newer iXtreme that combines both advantages (newer than 1.51 and doesnt need activation + other posssible future proof goodies).
As far as I think a "1.61" version shouldnt be hard to put in place (just ignore some disk checking).
Im not asking for a release date, just an idea of how long would the wait be.

I would guess about 1 month depending on how hard it is to fix. But it could be a lot longer as there are a lot of new liteon revisions for the firmware team to work on.

But in theory a 'quicky 1.6' (e.g. 1.61) could be done quicker :)

Kinda,
but that would be getting back to 1.51 isnt it?
I just dont feel normal to flash 1.51 knowing that 1.6 exists.

1.51 only plays wave 4 games using an Hitachi... Samsung, BenQ & Liteon cant play them unless using 1.6 with activation Disc. I for one would just like a firmware to play wave 4 games without having to use activation disc every time so that would be a good start.
As long as you run everything through ABGX it shouldnt make it any safer no matter what they do to the new ixtreme firmware.

IX 1.61 is in development. It will remove the check for the video partition CRC.
IX 1.51 for BenQ, Samsung, and Hitachi can not play wave 4 games. So you will need to wait for IX 1.61.

nothing is safe 100% but 1.6 has you covered as it can be. Can not play wave 4 games using this firmware(hence update needed).

ok ty. when a xbox gets banned theres no way out of it? can i have another xbox and updatae it and copy the update and transfer it to my other banned xbox?

We n\'have not d\'precise information on the date of release, but we can s\'expect to have the firmware d\'here next week. Remains more than\'to see if this Ixtreme will be also focused on the readers Hitachi.

this is a proper translation of the french site and the new firmwire will support liteon drives its the Hitachi drives the are concernd about
As many people expected, C4Eva confirmed that the 1.61 for samsung, benq and liteon ixtreme would soon be available. We have no precise information on the date of release, but can be expected to have firmware by next week.
Now to see if this Ixtreme will also be on the Hitachi drives. To change the new games, you can still use the .iso activate method . For the time being, patience therefore pending the 1.61, Ixtreme and do you inquietez not, the ISO activate will soon join the dustbin.
Rely on Logic-sunrise to offer for download as soon as its output.
