I imagine that you need the special printable DVDs in order to print labels on them? I have a big stack of all-white single-layer DVDs like that, but I haven't seen the same thing offered in DL. Then again, I haven't really looked.

Verbatim printables, then you can print straight to the disc instead of using labels (which are a bad idea anyway).
It's $80. There's only 1 review that gives it just 2 stars for being slow at photo printing, but I only use it to print to discs and it's great for that. It comes with a tray that has a cut-out for the disc, so you put the disc in there and slot it into the front of the printer. The print quality is amazing. I use Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker for printing software as it has preset templates for most printers (including that one) so you just drag and drop the disc image and hit print and you're done.
They only do disc images and covers for consoles and they have strict rules about quality, so you don't get the shit quality stuff that's uploaded to other sites and everything is at least 300 DPI.
Oh, and another tip for printing on to discs - Measure the diameter of the printable area of the disc and the diameter of the hole, then you can edit the template to match. The printable area is usually about 118/119 mm on any disc, but the size of the hole will vary depending on the brand and the particular batch (2.4X Verbs are 35 mm and 8X Verbs are 19/20 mm). If you don't do that, you can end up with a white ring where it didn't print far enough in, or if you print too far in, you'll get ink all over the clear plastic bit near the centre of the disc that you'll have to wipe off.
