Nokia has sued Apple this week over the popular iPhone smartphone, claiming Apple infringes on Nokia patents. There are 10 patents up for dispute, each of which relate to technologies "fundamental to making devices compatible with one or more mobile standards." We are not talking about a poor single mother that downloaded MP3s and now must fight a team of RIAA lawyers here, we are talking about 2 huge corporations...each with their own armies of lawyers. This might actualy be a relativly legitimate case.

I'm well aware of this and the army of lawyers will keep it tied up in the courts for awhile with a settlement being reached with no admit of guilt. The typical response is it was cheaper to pay than to keep fighting

Yay Nokia :)

The iPhone needs to be kicked down a notch... It's too common now, and over-hyped. Makes me mad how there are better cell phones out there that get shadowed by some stupid apps and other crap...
