i got mine modded by a prof. modder (paid $40 at the time).
i lost his contact info so i can't contact him.
all i'm trying to find out is what drive mine has...
it's a limited edition resident evil 5 xbox elite... red color.
does it have hitachi? leteon?
i know it's a jasper but that's pretty much all i know.

yes i've seen those pictures but i don't have tools to open my xbox.. and i will probably break something while opening.
and that's why i paid to get mine modded (my pc also doesn't have any sata)..
i was asking because this is a limited edition and they all have the same drive and some prof. modder probably have flashed it and knows what drive it has.

You don't need to open your xbox, just remove the faceplate and near the dvd bezel there will be a hole, yellow wire = liteon, white wire = benq (it will most likely be a liteon).

If the modder flashed it with newest firmware at the time it would have ixtreme 1.6

It's probably a Lite-On, but you could at least do what chris4160 said:

I bought my red elite when it first came out and modded it straight away with 1.51 since 1.6 wasn't out in 03/09. It is def. liteon.
