fairly new to the flashing of the xbox 360 but chipped wii's, e.c.t before.
bought a CK3 and a via vt6421a sata pci adapter. connected the benq vad6038 as told to in many of the tutorials i've read. i'm running win xp pro and i also installed portio32 as well.
managed to get the drive to be reconised in jungleflash 0.1.66 beta and went through the steps to flash it. put it in vendor mode e.c.t
got to the bit where you click on write and it starts the process of erasing and then writing but it got to where it says varifying and then it comes up failed. i forgot to press the button that says outro/ata reset and i reset my computer.
now i can't get the drive to be reconised at start up of computer it just comes up
hardware initiate failed please check device
the bios does not be installed press <g> to continue
if i leave the drive switched off till xp boots up and switch it on, my computer locks up for about 2 mins then i've only got about 3 seconds to do stuff before it locks up again. and jungle flash can't find the drive.
has anyone got any ideas of how to solve this problem. i've checked forum after forum but can't find anything
thanks i got it working but got the 3 rrod took my heatsink off and found a slight chip in one of the processors in the corner so think is knackered. don't know how it got the as i was so carefull taking it off and putting it back together :(
