Hi all hope someone can advise
I have a Eurovox EX5000 PVR and works great, however two things it does which are annoying more than anything and im hoping there maybe something i am doing wrong
1. when i scan for channels it is finding 2 of every channel.. never used to do that.
2. Sport3 and ESPNM seems to always be scrambed until i rescan all channels again, then a few days later will be scrambed again.. i dont mind re scanning for it, but i have to then go through and remove 1 of each channel.. which takes me ages :)
Are you doing a factory Default before re-scanning as this is most likely to be your problem, you definately need to do a Factory Default first okay - 2nd, when you lose a particular channel you do lose several that are on the same Frequency, so a Manual Scan will suffice - method, FROM the affected lost channel press the info button twice and note down the Frequency, then press Menu and go across to Installation and choose User Instalation OK and enter 0000 the Frequency Table will appear, now scroll up/down and Highlight the Frequency that you jotted down and Pres OK - a tick will appear at the left hand side in CHAN NUM now press OK and it will scan on that Frequency and pull them back in, about 3 mins max. This is the Firmware you should have on your box it is the Auto-Sort >>>>>>
Malci top man, thanks very much for the help - I will do what you suggest tonight when I get home..really appreicate your instructions. That is the firmware I'm using- so I'll do a factory reset and scan tonight and then i'll manually re-add the other channels once they scramble.
