URGENT!! NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!

I need to take a clip off a DVD by knowing the time when the clips starts and ends.

For example, boss watches DVD and says the part he wants starts at 1:09 and ends at 1:11. I have to be able to go in and take that exact section and save it on the HD as AVI/MPEG/...

Do you have any idea how I can do this?? Of course, he wants it yesterday!

I've never personally done this, but I'll take a stab at what I would try myself.

Use DVD Shrink to extract the segment that you want; using the crop feature.
Then use TMPGEnc dvd author to convert it to an MPEG. (I believe this program has this functionallity.)

As I said, I've never done this, but hopefully I've pointed you in the right direction.

it is very simple...if you know about where it is, you can use a program like SmartRipper and pick the chapter you want to rip...if you don't, you will rip the whole movie, then take DVD2AVI and make the frameserver and soundtrack, then use tmpenc and there you can select source range and encode only the part you want.. see at http://entiendo.gotnet.net

The quick and easy technique is prolly with DVDx. You can select the chapter (you might even be able to select the actual time too but i dont remember) and rip just that portion. Some quick work with VDUB will clip it down for you.
