hi I have flashed a hitachi before just with the samsung having trouble.
Its all connected but the samsung drive does not detect in windows 7. it detects it on the bios and everything. so I goto jungleflash and go through all the port I/O and not there. any suggestions?

Ok i think i know Why now. I have windows 64bits 7. and port I/O only works for 32bits. Is there anyway to get past this on a 64 bit windows ?
Im thinking sun Vitural box has anyone tried that?
I cant dual boot because i would have to format. Is there anyway of flashing on a 64bit operating system?

have you tried dosflash 1.8? i think that is 64bit proof, never used it myself but have heard that it quite staight forward. I also expect there is a tutorial for it somewhere here on AD.

You dont have to reformat you current drive to install another OS, you just create another partition by right clicking on Computer, left clicking Manage, click on Disk management, left click on your primary image then click shrink. You can then format the unused space and there you have a new partition.
