Useless update. LArger screen but same resolution? Won't that cause aliasing?
"The handheld will cost ¥20,000 ($220 USD) and the "LL" in the title refers to its larger screen. Nintendo says the new updated console comes after many requests from gamers who wanted a larger screen. "
"The gaming company says the DSi LL is aimed at consumers who want to use the handheld for the Internet and for music and movies."
Don't those kinda go against each other? I smell a cash grab...

Incase you lose one. Don't forget you're also gonna need 2 DSi LL's and 2 of every copy of each game you buy. Also don't forget to collect the previous 3 generations of the DS.
Just watch how people will go out and buy it on release because it has a larger screen.

Yeah, pretty much... I didn't upgrade to the DSi yet, and the size of the screen has always been a bit of an issue for me.

... 220$ is a ridiculous price point for a handheld. I'd only get this for my collection, as these might be rare in the future, I don't see this DS having a long shelf life.

I'd like to point out that the $220 price tag is with the current conversion rates... The Dollar is in the toilet now.
¥18,900 was the going rate for the DSi at launch, while this is ¥20,000. It's literally a $10 difference.
At the time of the DSi's launch, ¥18,900 was only about $180, while now it's more than $200.

I suppose Nintendo is making this available for people who have trouble reading text on a small screen. Fair enough. But for most people, there really is no reason for them to upgrade to a DSi yet, let alone a DSi LL. The screen size upgrade is certaintly not there to make the games better. Because at low res, the games will look like crap on a 4.3" screen.

Can we just call it "Nintendo DSi-OK"? The "OK" standing for overkill?
