I used to have a psp 2000 with updated firmware which allowed me to play all the games off my memory card.
I now have a psp 3003. can you do the same with this? I've heard on the street dat you can't update these yet? but i'm reading about this chicken r2 firmware update? what is this? can you update this model to allow you to play all games? Is there a totorial?
For a psp 3000 the only way you are going to able to run homebrew is if you have firmware version 5.03 or below. Anything higher the answer is no.
If you have 5.03 or lower then you just copy the hen folder to your ms and then goto photos and into the folder. the psp will freeze for a bit then restart (if you are lucky) after then you can use 5.03 gen-a (gen-b is apparently being released later today, maybe)
I say lucky because hen isnt 100% effective, most time the psp will freeze then just shut off, so you have the repeat it until it restarts itself. This can be upto and over 20 attempts.
Also remember if you turn off the psp after doing this, the next time you turn it on, the firnware is reset to ofw, so you have to run the hen again. Best thing is to put your psp into standby when you are not using it.

wot u saying once you put this hen software on you can never turn off the psp?
has the second gen software been released?
You can turn off the psp, but if you do then you have to run the hen again. Which is why many people put it in its standby mode after successfully running hen.
If you prefer to turn off your psp fully then be prepared for being frustrated by having to run chicken everytime you want to use your psp.
they found a bug so I dont think gen-b has been released yet.
