I bought my 360 a little while ago im pretty sure it has a benq in it. it seems much quieter than all my friends boxes and the tray looks like a Benq from a couple screens i looked at. I want to flash it. I know i need some tools to work on it. could I get some tips? was thinking i needed a Connectivity Kit or something.

All of the info you need is in the ultimate sticky at the top of the page. If you bought your 360 recently, chances are it's a Lite-On, not a BenQ. The drive trays look exactly the same, so sometimes people get the two confused. Here's a pic that shows you how to tell the difference: -

Once you know which drive it is (and in the case of Lite-Ons, which revision of the drive it is) you can find the appropriate guide and it'll tell you what to do.

Now all you need is to find which revision of lite on you have, unfortunetly only way to do this is to open up your xbox. Fingers crossed you have one of the first 2 (prolly the 7 series as you bought it " a while ago"
