Lost my SD card for my wii in a drunken haze the other night. Didnt make a backup of it either =/
I have the Homebrew channel, 4.1 firmware, and had bootmii installed as an ios. Just bought a new SDHC card, should i just run hackmii installer and install bootmii again?

The HBC functions independently, and most apps/homebrew can be downloaded. In addition, you don't need to re-run the Hackmii installer. All you need to do is go to HBC, and from there you can launch Bootmii IOS so you can backup your NAND.

Thanks for the help! I bought a 8gig sdhc, and actually found i had backed up my SD card i lost. So i copied that over and it seems to be working again. Thanks anyway man
Strange problem though, when i click on SD from the wii menu, or even in data management my wii freezes and i have to restart. Not sure if its just the HC SD card, since my other card didnt do it. I have 4.1 firmware

Remove the private folder in your SD card.

Very minor problem, but i realised when i boot my wii and have the option to go to the system menu, homebrew, etc thanks too bootmii, if i select the Hombrew Channel it freezes.
I can go into the homebrew channel just fine from the system menu but it will crash from bootmii, its strange.

Just wanted to waste 30 seconds and comment on a perfect thread! Nice to see quick help which solved the issues. Im so used to seeing constant things like "do a search", "go buy the game", and a ton of bashing.
This thread is an awesome change of pace!
Later guys!
