There is a way, but its very complicated and from what ive read envoles hacking the xbox with the JTAG hack.

the way to get the key off the board is very complicated. and is only for people with very advanced skills in this area. besides that you need to have the right equipment even to do it. its not worth it just buy another box its cheaper.

Yeah, you are double fucked if you have updated to the last three dashes (twitter/facebook one, WPA2 one or the one launched in july.
DVD player or stash it in the loft till someone figures out a way to hack it.
