Hi all
Thank you all for your help so far in getting me started and building my knoweldge of wii hacking.
I am shortly going to buy a western digital 500gb hdd (seems to be the most desirable choice) so I can play my games off.
I would like to store the zipped up version of the game on one partition and the game itself to play via the USB loader GX on the primary partition. I would just like to know what ball park sizes should I make both the WBFS and the FAT32 partitions from the 500gb to inable me to manage what I would like?
Thank you all for your suggestions

Why would you want to zip up the IOS and store it when it will already be on the WBFS partition. Seems to be a waist of space if you ask me.

I have a 500GB USB Device and have 60GB formated FAT32 for homebrew apps and video files. The rest is formated to WBFS to store the Wii games to.

Have to agree with Larry. I don't know who gave you the idea to zip up your already compressed ISO's and store them on your hard drive. That's a perfect lesson in wasted space. There is no real reason why anybody would do this.

I have a full 1tb that has been completely formatted with WBFS. I use the whole thing for iso's. My 1gb sd card is just fine for homebrew.

(now if I could just find a good way to play gc games. my drive is broken)

Thank you both for your replies.
I googled it and all i got was people saying the have one partition for their wii games on WBFS and another but not stating what size as FAT32 for their ISO's. I assumed they meant wii iso's. Think looking into it a bit more they meant for films and GC iso's. So i think im going to do a small partition FAT32 and the rest WBFS. Thank you both again for your replies

When I hit my 280th .iso I exceeded 500GB

It depends on how many .isos you plan to keep. I partitioned my 1GB to 750 for WBFS, but it appears that I may hit the 500 .iso limit before I fill 750GB.

I will be buying a backup HDD for the .isos and will probably get a 640GB and dedicate it all to WBFS.

ratboyz, start your own thread as hijacking another member's thread is a forum rule no no.

format it all FAT and use configurable USB loader. That will allow you to run games off a fat partition. Just put them in a folder named "wbfs"
