SVCD/VCD to DVD audio

My biggest pronlem is trying to get audio to play right with my dvd. I have never been succesful with this procedure and have tried every sampling method that I have seen. I have tried using programs head2ache(do not work on my computer), BeSweet(gives me an error message when unsampling), Tmpgenc(either crashes, or the audio is supper fast). I have used the the guides from here and I have not been succesful. Any advice I know there probably is threads somewhere but I have not been able to find them. Also what are my choices for audio from svcd to dvd. I know that mp2 is one but that is the one audio I am having problems with so are there any other possible audios.
