Had this same problem thr other day, I ended up opening firmware toolbox, dumping firmware (it will prolly fail), keep it open and go back to jungle flasher which should then work.

If a Hitachi has no firmware, or corrupt firmware, that means it is bricked.

Will it eject?

Yeah, mode B > Dump Firmware with toolbox then use jungle flasher. (Dont use the OFW that toolbox creates though)

It has got firmware on it BTW, just not your drive key.

Just send mode B, unlock with the audio CD thingy, and load up the 1.51 of iXtreme with the proper key spoofed to the target firmware. Then do a 'Flash iXtreme' flash, again from the Hitachi tab. That is if you must use Jungle Flasher.

However, I strongly recommend to save an iXtreme firmware bin with your drive key included in it and using Firmware Toolbox to flash that file to your Hitachi. Jungle Flasher is crazy unstable, and freezes a lot compared to Firmware Toolbox, which is more reliable. A bad flash on a Hitachi = dead drive.

Sweet. Glad you got it sorted without a dead drive. Not that I have ever bricked a Hitachi myself, of course ;D
